On Wednesday 25 February 2026, we were delighted to welcome students and teachers from four City Connects schools to Trinity College Dublin for our Multi-School Pytch Showcase.
Students from Larkin Community College, O’Connell Secondary School, Rosmini Community School and Saint Laurence O’Toole’s Specialist School came together to celebrate their work with Pytch. In total, 62 students and 12 teachers attended, alongside City Connects coordinators, SNAs and parents.
It was a fantastic day from start to finish.
Games, Graphics and Brilliant Ideas 🎮
The showcase centred on student-created games and projects. We were genuinely blown away by the creativity, skill and personality on display.
Students created fast-paced alien games, underwater adventures, car challenges and clever puzzle levels with timers and scoring systems. There were Batman-inspired animations, maze treasure hunts, celebrity catching games, retro soundtracks, custom-drawn spacecraft and even Doom-inspired demons.
Some games were super speedy and exciting to watch. Others were thoughtful and strategic. Across all of them, students demonstrated imagination, persistence and real pride in their work.
It was especially impressive to see how students reused and resized graphics, layered sound effects, built scoring systems and added custom animations to bring their ideas to life.

Thinking About the Future 🎓
We were also delighted to welcome Kayleigh Conway from the Trinity Access Programme (TAP), who spoke to students about pathways into higher education.
Kayleigh highlighted the many routes into college, including HEAR, DARE and SUSI supports, and spoke about the importance of ensuring that all students are aware of the opportunities available to them. It was a powerful reminder that when students are supported and informed, they can pursue their goals with confidence.
Listening and Learning 💬
At the end of the event, students took part in small focus group discussions. Their reflections will play an important role in shaping the future development of Pytch, ensuring that it continues to evolve in ways that are engaging, inclusive and responsive to young people’s experiences.
A Day to Be Proud Of ✨
We were tremendously impressed by the quality of the work. We are very grateful to the teachers, City Connects coordinators and school communities who supported students in taking part, and to everyone who helped make the event such a success.
Most of all, congratulations to the students. The creativity, problem-solving and teamwork on display were inspiring. We hope the day left them feeling proud of what they achieved and excited about what they might create next.
