Funded Project by The Research Ireland Discover Programme

Pytch by TCD, TUD & Research Ireland

We are delighted to be among those funded by Research Ireland to continue our work on coding and Computer Science education in Pytch Phase 3!

In this new phase of Pytch, we are looking forward to developing a community of teachers through the Pytch Ambassador Program, continuing our work on making our web app more accessible, implementing Irish language resources for coding, and having some fun with coding!

Pytch Ambassador Program

This year, the Pytch Ambassador Program is brought to life. A unique initiative designed to empower educators with the tools, training, and community support they need to bring fun coding into their classrooms.

Ambassadors will receive hands-on training on using Pytch in the classroom. Once trained, Ambassadors will serve as knowledge points in their schools, guiding fellow teachers, and making them valuable pillars for their school community.

By joining this program, teachers will also become part of our growing supportive, collaborative community of like-minded educators. They’ll be able to share ideas, teaching strategies, and success stories, and receive ongoing support and inspiration from their peers.

Irish Language Resources

Pytch is continuously working on creating classroom materials for computer science education in Irish Secondary Schools. We will therefore localise our learning resources to Irish, catering to Irish language schools and promoting bilingual education.

Accessibility

To ensure broader access to STEM education, Pytch will further undertake significant accessibility developments on the Pytch platform, making it more user-friendly for diverse learners, including those with disabilities.
